Yes, MULTIVIOUS accepts Aetna and Cigna.

As such, your sessions can be covered by your personal insurance, partly or in full, under your “out-of-network” benefits. Depending on your insurance coverage, most of your cost may be reimbursable through out-of-network benefits. Following payment for services, we will issue you an invoice for your records to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement of the covered percentage. Please check with your insurance carrier to determine your out-of-network benefits.
In order to receive reimbursement by your insurance, please know that we must give you a mental health diagnosis that will become part of your permanent medical record.
How does counseling work?
After the initial 15 minute consultation, the first session will be used to listen to the presenting problem(s) of the client, assess your thoughts and feelings on the process, and then discuss to see if you will benefit from the therapeutic process. From there, recommendations will be made regarding areas of focus, frequency of sessions, and length of professional relationship. It is important to note that these recommendations are tentative and can change once the professional relationship has started.
Counseling will continue until the client believes the goals established have been met, with the assistance of the therapist. It is important to remember that in order for counseling to work, you the client have to put in the work. When the client puts in the work and values the therapeutic process, they will walk away feeling focused, confident, reflective, and a successful.
Does what we talk about in therapy remain confidential?
MULTIVIOUS holds confidentiality and privacy to the highest regard. The therapeutic relationship requires a high degree of trust with highly sensitive subject matter that is usually not discussed anywhere but the therapist's office. Clients will receive a copy of the confidential disclosure agreement and know that, “What is said here, stays here.” However, there are exceptions to this rule. There are state laws and professional ethics required by therapists to maintain confidentiality except for the following situations:
If the therapist has reason to suspect the client is seriously in danger of harming him/herself or has threatened to harm another person.
If there is suspected past or present abuse or neglect of children, adults, and elders then MULTIVIOUS is obligated to report to the authorities, including child protection and law enforcement, based on information provided by the client or collateral sources.
